latinumsbetterAs I'm sure many of you have noticed, Quark has very large ears. His hearing is more sensitive than a human's, so he can pick up noises far more easily than most, and can tell the difference between noises by the decible. They're also very good at discerning the slightest auditory difference in sounds. This, in combination with their culture, means that often times, Ferengi will pick up and know things wherever they're found that most other people won't. For example, Quark is noted as having known things were going to happen on Deep Space 9 on multiple occasions, even before the Starfleet officers themselves. His nephew, Nog, knows everything happening at his school, and at one point, is able to point out secret goings on to the Captain of DS9.
For that reason, it occurred to me that I should probably to set up a post in case there's anything Quark would hear from the cast, whether that might be something auditory about them either conscious or unconscious, something they'd mutter to themselves thoughtless, or any moments that you'd be interested in Quark listening in on. He's definitely the kind of guy that would press his ear to the wall or the doors if he hears something. Heck, maybe they even have some internal parts that would hum. His ears are your oyster.
This can also go for threads that he could overhear. If you'd like to leave a link to something specific, that's always cool, or if there's a specific thread that I myself am intersted in him overhearing, I'll always ask first.
Or, similarily, if there's something you'd rather he didn't bring up/hear, lmk that too, and I'll make sure he stays out of it.
